The Air & Waste Management Association’s East Michigan Chapter hosted “Data Center Siting and Environmental Issues,” a half-day seminar addressing the legal, regulatory and technical questions raised by Michigan’s fast-growing data center industry. The seminar was sponsored by South Channel Environmental Consulting, Warner and Trinity Consultants.
Warner partner Gaëtan Gerville-Réache presented “Local Regulation of and Opposition to Data Centers,” addressing the local regulatory tools municipalities use to review, condition or oppose data center projects, and how developers can navigate that landscape.

At Warner, Gerville-Réache represents clients in appellate and administrative litigation involving mining, environmental permitting and land use matters, including numerous appeals before the Michigan Supreme Court on zoning, mining and environmental regulatory questions.
