Emily E. Cantor and M. Johnny Pinjuv, both partners at Warner Norcross + Judd LLP, have been selected for the 2025 class of 40 Under 40 business leaders by Crain’s Grand Rapids Business.
Cantor, Pinjuv and 38 West Michigan leaders younger than 40 will be recognized for their business and community leadership in an online publication today and during an awards event on Oct. 22. Since 1991, Crain's City Brands have gathered 40 of the community's overachievers for a special salute. Past winners have started companies, climbed the corporate ranks and made nonprofits stronger while giving back to the community and mentoring others.
Cantor assists companies of all sizes in a broad range of legal matters from mergers and acquisitions and contract development to cannabis and liquor license transactions and compliance. Cantor has been involved in some of the firm’s largest and most complex merger and acquisition transactions for high-profile Michigan clients. She chairs the firm’s Cannabis Industry Group.
Cantor has been recognized by Michigan Lawyers Weekly in 2024 as one of the Go To Lawyers in Cannabis Law. She’s been honored as one of the Best Lawyers in America® 2024-26. Michigan Super Lawyers named her to its Rising Star list for five years.
She serves on the boards of First Steps Kent and the Grand Rapids Public Schools Foundation.
Pinjuv concentrates his practice in complex real estate transactions and development projects. He has specific expertise concerning renewable energy development, carbon sequestration, mineral rights and large-scale public/private projects.
Pinjuv was recognized by Best Lawyers Grand Rapids Mergers and Acquisitions Law and Real Estate Law Ones to Watch List from 2022-25 and Best Lawyers in America® Ones to Watch in 2026.
Pinjuv is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers’ Next Generation Leadership Network.
