Warner Norcross + Judd LLP Partner Charlie Quigg has been elected to Upcycle Bikes’ board of directors.
“As a longtime cyclist, I was naturally drawn to Upcycle Bikes. But as I learned more, I realized that Upcycle is about much more than bikes — it’s about empowering those in need to become independent and connect with their community. I’m thrilled to join Upcycle’s board and help advance its mission,” shared Quigg.
Founded in 2022, Upcycle Bikes is a nonprofit organization that refurbishes and provides safe, quality bikes for community members with transportation challenges. Upcycle Bikes recognizes that bikes are practical, bikes are fun and many community members have old, unused bikes. Those bikes can be refurbished — upcycled — to provide a new sense of transportation freedom to a new set of riders facing transportation barriers. Upcycle Bikes makes this possible through its donors, volunteers and distribution partners.
Quigg chairs Warner’s Appellate and Supreme Court Practice Group and helps clients solve complex civil and criminal problems. While he focuses on appellate practice and white-collar criminal defense and investigations, he has experience in a wide array of areas, including commercial disputes, constitutional law, campaign finance, administrative law, health care, bankruptcy, intellectual property and tax. Beyond his top-notch technical skills and ability to understand their business, clients appreciate Charlie’s responsiveness and his commitment to providing real value.
Before Warner, Quigg clerked for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and worked for global law firms in Chicago and Washington, D.C. He is recognized in Best Lawyers® “Ones to Watch” Lists for Criminal Defense/White-Collar and Antitrust Law in Grand Rapids and named a Top Lawyer in White-Collar Criminal Defense by Grand Rapids Magazine. Active in the community, Quigg also serves as the treasurer of the West Michigan Chapter of the Federal Bar Association and as a member of the Michigan Appellate Bench Bar Conference Planning Committee. He has also been recognized for his pro bono contributions by being listed on “A Lawyer Helps Pro Bono Honor Roll” by the State Bar of Michigan.
