Warner Norcross + Judd LLP Partner Matthew Nelson is the programming chair and will provide the welcome and introductory remarks for the event. Associate Adam Ratliff is co-presenting “Preparing for Oral Argument: Tips & Perspectives” with Member Jill Wheaton from Dykema Gossett PLLC.
The two-day seminar, from Nov. 1-2, will help attorneys improve their appellate skillset and grow their network. Topics include state constitutionalism and stare decisis after the U.S. Supreme Court’s monumental recent term. Attendees will benefit from tips for oral argument from both sides of the bench and principles for improving legal writing. Speakers include federal appellate judges and state court justices as well as experienced appellate advocates from across the country. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet at receptions and other networking events, connecting with fellow DRI members at the USS Midway Museum.
