Nathan J. "Nate" DeVries
While many patent attorneys will rely on a client’s engineers to write a majority of their own patent applications, I do as much of this work as I can – precisely because I can, due to my own background as an electrical and software engineer. Here at Warner, we don’t ask others to do what we consider to be our jobs. Our patent bench is so strong that we can take that kernel of an invention and run with it, allowing our clients to get back to what they do best, which is creating more cool and innovative things.
Nate DeVries represents clients in all aspects of patent law, including drafting of infringement and patentability opinions, and preparing and prosecuting domestic and foreign patent applications. These often involve electrical, electro-mechanical and computer-related patents that span areas such as wireless power technology, consumer electronics, software, machine learning, natural language processing, quantum computing, water treatment systems and sporting equipment, among others.
