Grocery Store Development Project in Downtown Detroit

Warner assisted a client in a proposed development of three parcels of vacant land in downtown Detroit.  The project involved construction of a new Michigan-based grocery store and approximately 100 surface parking spaces.

Warner helped the client obtain over $2.1 million in incentives which included an EGLE Grant and a Brownfield TIF.

This project will create approximately 100 temporary construction jobs. In addition, the presence of a new fresh market grocery store will significantly improve the site and surrounding corridor, employ local residents in 72 new full and part-time positions, generate increased property taxes, and provide infill development and infrastructure improvements in the city of Detroit.
