We settled an ultra high net worth decedent’s estate. The estate was complex due to its size, the nature of its assets (marketable securities, private equity, a family limited partnership and a family business), gifts to charitable organizations, the creation and funding of new trusts for family members, and the presence of a private foundation. The estate settlement required valuation of more than a dozen real estate investments in multiple states. We are handled the preparation of the estate tax return.
