Companies with operations in California or doing business with individuals in California are currently subject to the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), which sets forth requirements around personally identifiable information collected about California residents. California voters approved a ballot measure that rewrites the CCPA into the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). Even though the revisions won’t go into effect until January 1, 2023, they will impact activities taking place in 2022 and have implications for data about consumers, employees and business contacts.

Warner attorneys Norbert Kugele, Kelly Hollingsworth, Alexandra Chitwood and Lexi Woods presented this webinar, in which they reviewed what’s changing under the CPRA and steps you should start taking now to prepare, including updates to website privacy policies, contracts and procedures for responding to data subject access requests.
