Warner Norcross + Judd LLP partner Charlie Goode is being honored as a Michigan Go To Lawyer for business transactions by Michigan Lawyers Weekly.
Now in its fifth year, the Go To Lawyers program recognizes top attorneys around the state in a given practice area. Goode is one of 22 attorneys who will be recognized in a special section of the publication on May 20 for his work on business transactions.
Goode’s nomination read in part: “Charlie is valuable to his clients because he is not risk-averse by nature, and he doesn’t shy away from opportunities. Instead, he helps clients to identify and understand all opportunities available to them and then helps them find a risk-based approach to address these. He provides clients with practical, straightforward and proactive advice to keep them moving forward toward their objectives.”
Goode concentrates his practice on mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings and regulation, corporate governance, social impact investing and general corporate and banking matters. He works extensively with community banks, financial service providers and community development financial institutions.
Goode has been recognized professionally for his achievements, including being named to Best Lawyers in America® and as a Rising Star by Michigan Super Lawyers. Grand Rapids Magazine named him a Top Lawyer in Securities Law and in Banking and Financial Services Law. He’s been named one of the Leading Lawyers in Michigan since 2014. He was recognized as Dealmaker of the Year by MiBiz in 2019 for his role in providing legal counsel to the Canadian government and Windsor-Detroit Bridge Authority for the Gordie Howe International Bridge project.
Goode is a member of the American Bar Association and State Bar of Michigan. He currently serves on the advisory board for St. Ann’s Home.
Goode holds a bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University and a law degree cum laude from the Wayne State University Law School.
