Warner Norcross + Judd LLP will again offer its popular HR Seminar on benefits and labor issues this spring.
The HR Seminar will provide an update on new laws, policies and litigation that are shaping the regulatory landscape that governs how HR professionals manage labor and employee benefit issues. Fifteen attorneys from across the state will present sessions on hot topics for HR professionals on May 1 at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel.
The seminar is divided into half-day blocks with overview discussions followed by breakout sessions that allow time for questions and answers. The morning session will focus on employee benefits and kick off with a general update. The afternoon session will focus on labor law and open with a general overview of legislative and case law updates. The seminar also includes a networking lunch.
Breakout sessions will cover these topics:
- SECURE 2.0 and retirement plan updates.
- Fiduciary duties under ERISA.
- Noncompete and confidentiality agreements.
- NLRB and employer policies.
- Law Shanty on the road.
- Pregnant Workers Fairness Act and its intersection with ADA, FMLA.
