Warner Norcross & Judd LLP attorney Conor B. Dugan has been selected to receive the Amicus Service Award from the International Municipal Lawyers Association.
Senior counsel in the firm’s Appellate & Supreme Court Practice, Dugan is being recognized for his service to the International Municipal Lawyers Association Legal Advocacy program in the Kalamazoo County Road Commission v. Deleon case. He will be honored during an awards ceremony April 24 in Washington, D.C. at the IMLA’s midyear seminar.
The Amicus Service Award recognizes lawyers who have been actively involved in legal advocacy for and on behalf of local governments and IMLA and who have done exemplary work to protect and advance local government interests.
Dugan focuses his practice in appellate and trial law and has extensive experience in appellate work at the state and federal levels, focused on commercial litigation, criminal law and civil rights litigation. He has successfully represented clients before the U.S. Supreme Court, the Michigan Supreme Court and the Michigan Court of Appeals.
He is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, where he serves on the Appellate Practice Section Council. He also is a member of the District of Columbia Bar and the U.S. Supreme Court Bar. Dugan serves on the board for the Michigan Defense Trial Counsel and as treasurer of the Catholic Lawyers Association of West Michigan.
