Warner Norcross + Judd LLP Partner Charles N. Ash has been appointed to the board of trustees for Michigan Colleges Alliance.
MCA is a collective of the top 14 independent colleges and universities in Michigan, representing more than 42,000 students and 230,000 Michigan-based alumni. MCA builds awareness among students and other stakeholders about educational options offered within the collective, enhances affordability for students attending their campuses and connects students to fulfilling Michigan career opportunities, both during their education and after graduation.
Ash is based in Warner’s Grand Rapid’s office and is a trial lawyer with extensive experience representing businesses in complex contract and tort litigation in state and federal courts throughout the country. He has successfully represented global manufacturers, handled several cases with over $100 million at stake and represented two major creditors in the city of Detroit’s historic bankruptcy case. He is a mentor among other attorneys and students, and has dedicated his time and talents to numerous foundations and boards for decades.
