Warner Norcross + Judd LLP was honored to serve as legal advisor to Beach Mold and Tool Inc. during its sale to NYX Inc. in a transaction that was recognized by the Association of Corporate Growth Detroit Chapter as its 2020 Deal of the Year over $50M.
DBusiness Magazine profiles the 2020 winners in its current issue and will host an award dinner event on Oct. 8 at the Townsend Hotel in Birmingham.
Working closely with Sheldon Stone from financial advisory firm Amherst Partners, Warner Partner Susan Cook supported Beach through a comprehensive restructuring aimed at returning the distressed supplier back to solid footing, an effort which included contract reviews, supplier negotiations and the sale of a Virginia-based division to a European buyer, all under close scrutiny from Beach's major lending partners. Warner attorneys then advised Beach throughout the NYX sale process and structured the transaction documents.
Based in Livonia, MI, NYX is a minority-owned global business enterprise that designs, develops and manufactures interior and technology solutions for the automotive industry. The DBusiness article noted that NYX due diligence showed alignment with the Beach product portfolio and customer relationships and therefore proceeded with the acquisition in order to provide value to clients, plus benefits from geography, scale and process.
