New Age of Auto

Automotive leaders and suppliers will discuss industry trends and the continuing challenges brought on by the pandemic at the 23rd annual Michigan Automotive Suppliers Symposium, hosted by the Van Andel Global Trade Center at Grand Valley State University.

The symposium, under the theme “New Age of Auto,” is from 8 a.m.-noon on March 10, on GVSU’s Pew Grand Rapids Campus, DeVos Center. Click here for more details.

Sonja Johnson, VAGTC executive director, said the industry is undergoing a major transformation in the midst of ongoing supply chain frustrations.

“It’s really a tumultuous time in the industry as electric vehicles become more widely available and there is a growing focus on sustainable, green manufacturing processes,” Johnson said. “Global supply chain issues are creating massive shifts in sourcing strategies.

“We are excited to bring original equipment manufacturers together with Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 suppliers to discuss the challenges and opportunities that the industry is experiencing in this New Age of Auto.”
