Financial Executives International – Detroit Chapter will hold its March dinner meeting “Crafting Leadership: A Journey Through Sara Blackmer's Blend of Military Precision, Corporate Excellence and Personal Authenticity" on March 20. Hosted by JPMorgan Chase, the event will be held at The War Memorial in Grosse Pointe Farms beginning at 4:00 p.m.

Mandice McAllister, diversity, equity + inclusion manager at Warner Norcross + Judd LLP, will open the event with her presentation “Activating Inclusive Leadership.” McAllister will define inclusive leadership, demonstrate how it benefits teams and organizations and offer insights on how individuals can grow as inclusive leaders. At Warner, McAllister has led the firm to take an “all in” approach to DEI by engaging people at all levels of the firm to lead and participate on DEI committees and initiatives.

Sara Blackmer, senior partner at Solyco Capital, will offer a keynote address that unfolds her journey, spotlighting the evolution of leadership skills through a blend of personal, professional and military experiences. She delves into pivotal moments that not only shaped her leadership aspirations but also fueled her passion for creating high-performing teams. Emphasizing authenticity, Blackmer highlights relentless positivity as a cornerstone in her leadership style as she explores the gradual refinement of her leadership over time and discusses her passion for cultivating future leaders.
