Warner is proud to be a platinum sponsor for the Family Business Alliance’s upcoming seminar, “Exploring Family Ownership Structures: Slicing the Pie.”

The event features a case study allowing participants to follow ownership transitions within a hypothetical family business. The format is designed to highlight the key decisions, leadership structures and guard rails of a founder's dream, sibling partnership and cousin consortium models. This case study will examine how to address compensation and equity, shareholder roles and voting rights, governance structures and tax and wealth planning that are unique to each ownership model.

FBA has invited industry professionals, including Partner Corinne N. Sprague from Warner, to participate on the panel. Corinne is a seasoned corporate attorney who advises both privately held and publicly traded companies on mergers and acquisitions, commercial contracts, corporate planning, governance and compliance with federal and state securities laws. In addition to her general corporate practice, Corinne assists family-owned businesses in designing governance, ownership, and compensation structures to align with their long-term succession planning and business objectives.

Corinne will be joined on stage by Kelli Olson, partner at BDO, and Jim Overbeck, senior vice president with Fifth Third Private Bank. The seminar will be held on Sept. 19 from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the beautiful Venue3Two in Kentwood. For further information on the event, pricing and to reserve your spot, please click here
