  • Senior Counsel

My background in health care, as a registered nurse who maintains my license, is an extremely valuable asset in the medically intensive field of workers’ compensation law. I have a deep understanding of anatomy, physiology, the various symptoms and means of testing, and even things such as ergonomics and the air studies that often arise in these cases. This allows me to see the workplace as a whole, and to protect our clients more completely and effectively.

For more than three decades Geri has represented employers on all phases of their workers' compensation defense matters within the workplace. While she is a litigator, her role usually begins well before a matter reaches the courtroom steps and entails her counseling clients on preventative matters or offering steps to rehabilitation. “You’ll never have a 100% safe workplace,” she explains, “but if I can go into a client’s business and work with their safety team to reduce accidents and, therefore, workers’ compensation claims, I have succeeded in my job.”
