The most rewarding aspect of working with family-owned businesses are the longstanding relationships that form. There are clients where, decades ago, I was the young attorney on their legal team, and now I’m the senior gray-haired one. My counterparts on the client’s side have transitioned into their parents’ roles and now I’m helping them move things to their kids. And I frequently just get to play an oversight role, pulling in talented Warner colleagues with expertise in various subject areas (who do all the hard work). It is rewarding to help clients put plans in place for their long-term goals and also see them realized.

For almost 40 years, Bruce has served as a trusted advisor to, and advocate for, closely held businesses and family offices – with a focus on corporate and transactional work and succession planning. Clients count on him to deliver measured advice that factors in their individual risk tolerance as well as the contextual ‘big picture.’ A skilled legal technician, Bruce gets that it is just as important to be a good listener in order to understand a client’s goals.
