Warner Welcomes First Class of All-Women Attorneys

Eight Associates Will Practice in West and Southeast Michigan

Warner Norcross + Judd LLP today welcomed eight new attorneys to the firm in its first all-women class.

 
The new attorneys, who have all been admitted to the State Bar of Michigan, will practice in the firm’s Grand Rapids office unless otherwise noted. They are:
 
  • Ojone E. Ameadaji, who received her law degree from the University of Iowa College of Law, where she was senior articles editor for the Journal of Transnational Law and Contemporary Problems. She holds a bachelor’s degree with honors from Calvin College in strategic communications and business. Ameadaji held a legal externship with the University of Iowa’s Office of the Dean of Students.
  • Alexandra E. Chitwood, who received her law degree cum laude from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law, where she was executive editor of the Indiana Journal of Global Legal Studies. She completed her bachelor magna cum laude in diplomacy and global politics from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Chitwood served as a judicial extern to Chief Justice Loretta Rush of the Indiana Supreme Court.
  • Sarah Harper, who received her law degree cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School and a bachelor’s degree summa cum laude in business administration and an associate’s degree in legal studies from Ferris State University.
  • Nina E. Lucido, who received her law degree summa cum laude from the Michigan State University College of Law where she was notes editor for the Michigan State University Law Review and certified as a civil mediator. She holds a bachelor’s degree with honors in sociology from the University of Michigan. Lucido served as a judicial intern for Justice David Viviano of the Michigan Supreme Court and as a clerk at the MSU Office of the General Counsel. Lucido practices in the firm’s Macomb office.
  • Brianna Richardson, who received her law degree from the University of Illinois College of Law where she was the topics editor of Elder Law Journal. She holds a bachelor’s degree cum laude in sport and entertainment management from the University of South Carolina. Richardson served as a judicial extern for the Hon. Susan E. Cox of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
  • Nicole A. Samuel, who received her law degree summa cum laude from the MSU College of Law, where she was Order of the Coif and managing editor of the Michigan State University Law Review. She holds her bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, also from MSU where she worked as a police cadet. She held an externship with the Shiawassee County Prosecutor.
  • Ewelina M. Sawicka, who received her law degree magna cum laude from Wayne State University Law School, where she was Order of the Coif and assistant editor of Wayne Law Review. She holds a bachelor’s degree from MSU in comparative cultures and politics. She served as a legal intern for the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Eastern District of Michigan and a judicial intern for the Detroit Immigration Court. She is fluent in Polish. Sawicka practices in the firm’s Southfield office.
  • Kaitlin D. Sheets, who received her law degree from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law, where she was executive symposium editor for the Indiana Journal of Global Legal Studies. She holds a bachelor’s degree cum laude in economics and communication from Denison University in Granville, Ohio. Sheets was a clerk for the Hon. Thomas L. Ludington of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
