I like a good challenge, and I find it gratifying to use my legal acumen, experience and problem-solving skills to help clients navigate particularly difficult and multilayered issues. Every project and case is unique, and I enjoy working closely with clients to develop creative solutions and find the best path forward.   

Maggie Stalker is a litigator and environmental lawyer experienced in helping clients navigate environmental issues on complex and unique projects. Clients rely on Maggie’s ability to guide them through complicated permitting and environmental review processes, help them assess and manage risk related to environmental liability, and advise them on compliance with state and federal environmental laws.   

  • Defended employers in cases involving claims of discrimination, retaliation, harassment, and wrongful discharge brought under state and federal law.
  • Assisted clients with regulatory and litigation matters involving state and federal environmental law.
  • Represented companies in cases involving contract disputes, including successfully arguing dispositive motion in breach of contract action.
  • Conducted extensive research to help clients achieve court approval of a settlement, despite objections of insurers and other creditors, in the city of Detroit bankruptcy proceeding.
