OSHA 300 Alert

As February 1 quickly approaches, employers required to record accidents and illnesses on the MiOSHA Form 300 should be preparing the annual summary (Form 300-A) for posting. This summary must contain the calendar year covered, the company's name, the establishment covered, the establishment address, the annual average number of employees covered by the Form 300-A and the total hours worked by all employees covered by the MiOSHA 300 log. Once the Form 300-A is completed, it must be certified by a company executive. After it has been certified, the Form 300-A must be posted in a conspicuous location from February 1 to April 30. The Form 300 and the Form 300-A (when taken down in April) must be retained for five years.

Employers with questions or needing the above-discussed forms can find additional information at the following Web site:,1607,7-154-11407_30929---,00.html. Alternatively, please feel free to call Karen VanderWerff of our office at 616.752.2183.
