Scott Carter is an attorney who focuses his practice primarily on general corporate law and business transactional work, which often crosses over into mergers and acquisitions, tax, and cybersecurity and privacy matters. Additionally, his writing talents are utilized in drafting carefully-worded information technology contracts for clients.
Scott enjoys diving into the complexities of legal challenges, taking them on as his own personal mission to overcome obstacles vexing his clients. He truly enjoys getting to the root meaning of the law and its implications for clients. Uncovering the best answer or resolution, and delivering those findings in a friendly and understandable way, is one of the ways Scott adds value to the firm’s clients. Being a detail-oriented person, he often reads between the lines to ensure an impeccable work product.
Scott Carter earned his Bachelor of Business Administration magna cum laude from Adrian College in accounting. He received his Juris Doctor magna cum laude from Wayne State University Law School, where he was the assistant editor of The Wayne Law Review and chairperson of the Transactional Law Competition. Scott was a judicial intern to the Honorable Sean F. Cox, US District Court, Eastern District of Michigan.
