Warner Norcross and Plante Moran Financial Advisors Discuss Key Changes to the Estate Tax Law in March 10 Webinar

Tax and estate planning professionals with Warner Norcross & Judd LLP and Plante Moran Financial Advisors are teaming up with Crain's Detroit Business to offer a free webinar on key changes to estate tax laws for 2010.

Franke Henke, senior counsel in the Southfield office of Warner Norcross, and Dawn Jinsky, a relationship manager for PMFA, will lead an hour-long webinar starting at noon on Wednesday, March 10, on the repeal of the estate tax and generation-skipping transfer tax in 2010 and their impact on estate planning. Since Congress failed to enact legislation last year to retain these taxes, they are not in place for 2010, even though the federal gift tax will remain in place.

The seminar will focus on:

  • The events that led to the repeal of the taxes
  • If and what amendments may be necessary to current estate plans
  • Prospects for the estate tax in 2011 if Congress does not act this year

The webinar will close with a free question-and-answer session.

The event is free and open to the public. To register, go to
