Warner Norcross and OESA Teaming Up for Seminar on Managing and Protecting Emerging Technologies

In today’s automotive world, being an innovator and technology leader is critical to a supplier’s success. Warner Norcross & Judd LLP and the OESA will share expertise on how suppliers can take full advantage of their technology, by properly protecting and integrating it into the company’s business strategy, at a half-day seminar on June 3, in Novi.
The morning-long session, “IP Insights for a New Era of Innovation – Five Strategies to Keep Pace with Emerging Technology and Ahead of the Competition,” will feature Warner Norcross attorneys Tom Manganello, Greg DeGrazia, Matt Mowers, Randall Peck, Nate Steed and Linda Paullin-Hebden.
Discussion topics include:
  • Will the infringement phone wars be coming to Detroit?
  • Who’s in the driver’s seat for advanced vehicle technology?
  • Joint development agreements for fast moving technologies
  • Untangling the web of software licensing
  • M&A due diligence
The critical question – “How can suppliers protect and position themselves to capture and grow business as new technologies and new industry players are disrupting the auto industry?” – will be center stage.  The seminar will discuss steps suppliers should consider for their IP legal practices to ensure they’ve got all the bases covered and all their invaluable IP protected.
“Suppliers are facing tough, complex issues, especially with the pace the industry is moving,” said Greg DeGrazia, a partner at Warner Norcross. “They have to be more careful than ever, in every aspect of their businesses. This seminar is designed to remind them of that and help guide them on strategies needed to stay ahead of the curve.”
The seminar will be held at the Hotel Baronette Renaissance, 27790 Novi, Novi, with registration and a continental breakfast beginning at 7:30 a.m. and the conference running from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.  Meeting details and registration information is available in the events section of or by contacting Felice Hickman at 248-430-5957 or
