Warner Norcross Appoints Four New Practice Group Chairs

Warner Norcross & Judd LLP has appointed four partners to chair practice groups within the Firm.

Jeffrey S. Battershall will head the Health Law & Life Sciences Practice Group. Attorneys in the group serve as general counsel to hospitals, physician groups, nursing homes, insurance companies and other providers of health-care services, providing counsel in corporate planning, regulatory compliance, accreditation, medical staff administration, joint ventures, reimbursement matters and related issues.

Melissa N. Collar will serve as the chair of the Real Estate Services Group. The group offers a comprehensive slate of real estate services, including acquisitions, finance, development, leasing, disposition, zoning, tax abatements and credits, brownfields, condominium development, property tax appeals, litigation and related matters.

Timothy L. Horner will serve as the chair of the Business & Corporate Services Practice Group. The group, which is the largest practice group in the Firm, handles all aspects of corporate and commercial transactions, securities law, franchising, antitrust, executive compensation, licensing and dealership and distributorship law.

Andrew H. Thorson will lead the International Business Practice Group. Attorneys in the group works with Michigan companies looking to establish or expand operations around the globe and international corporations looking to do business in Michigan. IBPG attorney are fluent in more than a dozen languages and advise clients on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, importing and exporting, licensing and related issues.
