Two Health Law Attorneys Join Warner Norcross in Southfield

Warner Norcross & Judd LLP has added two experienced health law attorneys to its growing Southfield office.

Alan T. Rogalski, who is also a licensed pharmacist, joins the firm as a partner and Deborah J. Williamson joins as senior counsel. Both concentrate their practices in health law, representing a broad spectrum of health care providers on a wide range of issues, including regulatory compliance; Stark, anti-kickback and fraud and abuse; Recovery Audit Contractor, Medicare and other payor audits and appeals; third-party reimbursement and billing; Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act; professional licensure and staff privilege cases; corporate transactions and contracts; and other areas.

They will continue to serve health clients in Metro Detroit, throughout the state of Michigan and nationally. Prior to joining Warner Norcross, Rogalski and Williamson were shareholders in the Farmington Hills office of Foster, Swift, Collins & Smith, P.C.

"We are very pleased to welcome Al and Deborah to Warner Norcross," said Bill Jansen, partner in charge of the Southfield office. "They bring strong and extensive experience in health law that will immediately benefit our clients. They join the fastest-growing of our six offices throughout the state, which is testament to the strength of the business community in Metro Detroit – and the firm's commitment to it."

In addition to nearly 20 years of legal experience, Rogalski also spent more than 20 years with Henry Ford Health Systems and its Department of Pharmacy, working as a clinical pharmacist and then a pharmacy specialist, where he was responsible for quality assurance and risk prevention.

Active professionally, Rogalski is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, American Bar Association, American Health Lawyers Association and a fellow in the American Society of Pharmacy Law. He has been honored by Best Lawyers in America, Michigan Super Lawyers and dBusiness Best Lawyers in Detroit.

Rogalski holds a bachelor of science in pharmacy from Wayne State University and a doctor of jurisprudence from the University of Detroit School of Law. She has also served on the faculty of the Institute for Continuing Legal Education, presenting the "Michigan Health Law Update" at its annual Health Law Institute since 2009.

Active professionally, Williamson is an active member of the State Bar of Michigan's Health Care Law Section, having served as a member of the Technology Subcommittee, and currently serving as chair of the Providers Subcommittee. She is also a member of the American Bar Association and American Health Lawyers Association.
