Sue O. Conway Elected to Chair Leadership Grand Rapids Board

Sue O. Conway, a partner with Warner Norcross & Judd LLP, has been elected chair of Leadership Grand Rapids.

Conway, who is a graduate of the leadership program, will serve a one-year term as chair of the executive board. Leadership Grand Rapids is a program of the Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce that enhances and connects a diverse network of community leaders from businesses, nonprofit organizations and local government through a nine-month leadership training and development program. She has served on the executive board since 2000.

Conway concentrates her practice in employee benefits, particularly health and welfare benefits, such as consumer-directed health plans, wellness plans and other health care programs.  She currently serves as client development and marketing chair for the Firm.

Active both professionally and within the community, Conway is a frequent speaker on employee benefits topics and has taught in Grand Valley State University's master's of taxation program.  She is a member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Michigan and the Grand Rapids Bar Association.

Conway has served on the board of directors of the Visiting Nurse Foundation and as president of the Vassar Club of Western Michigan.  She is a past board member of Legal Aid of West Michigan and past president of the Women's Resource Center.

A native of Bryan, Ohio, Conway holds a bachelor's degree from Vassar College, magna cum laude, and a doctor of jurisprudence, cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School.
