Mary Jo Larson Joins Quest University Board of Trustees

Mary Jo Larson, a partner at the law firm Warner Norcross & Judd LLP, has been appointed to a five-year term on the Quest University Canada Board of Trustees.

Quest University Canada is Canada's first independent, not-for-profit, nonsectarian university of the liberal arts and sciences.  Larson’s son, Jordan, is one of the college’s 425 students.  She is the fifth Warner Norcross attorney to serve on a college or university board.

Larson concentrates her practice in employee benefits, with a focus on 401(k)s, pension plans, nonqualified deferred compensation plans and executive compensation. She is a fellow of the American College of Employee Benefits Counsel.

Larson has received the Detroit Chamber of Commerce Emerging Leadership Award and has been recognized as one of the Top 100 Michigan Lawyers and Top 50 Women Michigan Lawyers by Michigan Super Lawyers.  She is recognized as a dBusiness as a Top Lawyer, in Chambers USA American Leading Lawyers and as a Best Lawyer in America for her work in employee benefits law. Larson also serves on the board of Forgotten Harvest.

She is a member of the American Bar Association and the State Bar of Michigan.  She is a graduate of Leadership Detroit, which awarded her and several members of her class with an “emerging leaders” award to recognize their work to overcome racial lines in the city.
