Mark Wassink Elected Managing Partner of Warner

Mark Wassink has been elected managing partner of Warner.

Wassink will serve a two-year term leading one of Michigan’s largest law firms. In his new role, he will chair Warner’s management committee and guide the firm’s strategic direction and growth.
 
From clerk to managing partner accurately describes Wassink’s journey at Warner. He started at the firm as a mailroom clerk and courier in 1988, became a summer associate during law school and then joined the firm as an associate in fall 1992. He became a partner in 2001.
 
Wassink has previously served in many roles at Warner, including chair of the Recruiting Committee and Professional Staff Committee. He currently serves on the leadership team of Warner’s Diversity, Equity + Inclusion Action Committee.
 
His journey at Warner and his progressively expanding leadership roles have provided Wassink with a unique understanding of the legal and business sides of the law firm, positioning him well to lead the firm.
 
Wassink concentrates his practice on business, commercial finance and related legal areas. He has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America© and Leading Lawyers.
 
He received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and a law degree magna cum laude from Indiana University Law School.
 
Wassink lives in East Grand Rapids with his wife, Wendy, and their two sons.
