, both partners with the law firm Warner Norcross + Judd LLP, have been named to the Grand Rapids Business Journal
’s 40 Under 40 Business Leaders class of 2020.
Morris and Remondino, along with 38 other West Michigan business leaders under the age of 40, will be recognized for their business and community leadership during a virtual program on Wednesday, Oct. 28. The awards acknowledge up-and-coming leaders who are making a difference in their communities and who will be “shaping the region for years to come.”
The Business Journal
received approximately 400 individual nominations for this year’s class. Since this award program began in 2002, the publication has recognized more than 600 young leaders for their professional, community and philanthropic contributions.
A partner in the firm’s Grand Rapid’s office, Morris
is a trial attorney and mediator who focuses her practice on family disputes involving trusts, estates, wills, powers of attorney, charitable gifts, guardianships and conservatorships. Having successfully defended the largest charitable gift made to a university in its 134-year history, Morris is well renowned for her experience and knowledge in this practice area.
Morris leads the firm’s Summer Associates’ program, steering the strategy and focus of the program to attract diverse talent from a variety of law schools. She has twice been recognized by Best Lawyers
as Grand Rapids Trust and Estates Litigation Lawyer of the Year and has been named to the Michigan Super Lawyer’s
Rising Star list each year since 2013.
Active professionally and in the community, Morris currently serves on the boards of Family Promise and Women Lawyers Association of Michigan – Western Region. She is a graduate of Leadership Grand Rapids, Inforum Executive Leadership and the Emerging Leader Series from the Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce. Morris is also a member of Inforum and serves on its West Michigan Regional Council. She is a member of the Council on Aging in Kent County, Kent County Elder Abuse Coalition, West Michigan Estate Planning Council and West Michigan Healthcare Network.
Morris earned her bachelor's degree from Michigan State University and her law degree from Wayne State University Law School cum laude
leads the firm’s Holland office as executive partner and chairs the firm’s Trusts and Estates Practice Group. An estate planning attorney who helps clients with some of life’s most difficult situations, she counsels families and business owners on all aspects of wealth transfer planning, including charitable gift planning, formation of private foundations, estate and trust administration, and business succession planning. This is the third time she has been named as a 40 Under 40 Business Leader.
Remondino has been recognized as one of the Best Lawyers in America
since 2013 and has been named to the Rising Star list by Michigan Super Lawyers
since 2012. She is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel. She was recently selected as one of the Grand Rapids Business Journal’s
50 Most Influential Women in West Michigan and was honored as one of Michigan Lawyers Weekly’s
Women in the Law in 2018.
Active professionally and in the community, Remondino serves as Board Chair of the West Coast Chamber of Commerce, as board member and the treasurer of Lakeshore Advantage Corp. and on the steering committee of the Foundations Endowments Family Office. She is a graduate of West Coast Leadership and Inforum Executive Leadership.
