Jonathan P. Kok to Chair Warner Norcross Labor and Employment Group


Jonathan P. Kok has been named chair of the Labor and Employment Group of Warner Norcross & Judd LLP.

Kok, a partner with the firm, will lead the 20-member practice group, which provides counsel to publicly traded and privately held companies, including those with union and non-union workforces, on compliance with ever-changing employment laws. More than 800 employers have turned to Warner Norcross for comprehensive employment relations advice, including hiring, promoting, supervising, disciplining and firing employees.

Kok concentrates his practice in labor relations and employment compliance issues, employment arbitration and National Labor Relations Board proceedings.  He represents major employers in all industries in union negotiations and labor relations.  He also focuses on employment litigation, including discrimination, retaliation, payment of wage and hour, harassment, defamation and unfair competition claims.

He is recognized as a Rising Star by Michigan Super Lawyers. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Michigan and the Grand Rapids Bar Association.

Kok serves on the firm’s Management Committee.  He also serves on the board of directors for the University Club of Grand Rapids and is a graduate of Leadership Grand Rapids.
