Four Warner Norcross Partners Selected for Who's Who Legal: USA-Environment 2006

Four partners at Warner Norcross & Judd LLP have been selected for inclusion in Who's Who Legal: USA-Environment 2006.

John V. Byl, John D. Dunn, Michael L. Robinson and Eugene E. Smary are among the 284 attorneys featured in the new publication, which recognizes the foremost environmental lawyers currently practicing in the United States. Attorneys were nominated by their peers and by environmental specialists, then selected after extensive research and interviews were conducted.

John Byl chairs the Firm's Environmental Law Practice Group. He also serves as chair-elect of the Environmental Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan.

Byl is a frequent lecturer on a wide variety of environmental topics for business, government agencies, trade associations and legal organizations. Additionally, he has authored numerous articles and chapters of books on a range of environmental topics. He is recognized as one of The Best Lawyers in America.

John Dunn has served in a variety of leadership positions for the Environmental Law Sections of the American Bar Association and the State Bar of Michigan. He has written on several aspects of environmental law and is recognized as one of The Best Lawyers in America.

Mike Robinson has written and lectured widely on environmental law and regulations. His work includes both articles and chapters in legal texts. Active professionally, he has held numerous leadership positions with the State Bar of Michigan, including the past chair of the Environmental Law Section, and is a past chair of the Firm's Environmental Law Practice Group.

He is recognized in The Best Lawyers in America, Oxford's Who's Who and Who's Who in the World. He serves on the board of the Air and Waste Management Association and was cofounder of the University of Michigan's Environmental Law Society.

Gene Smary is the past chair of the American Bar Association's Section of Environment, Energy and Resources and currently serves as its liaison to the Canadian Bar Association.

He is also the past chair of the Environmental Law Sections of the State Bar of Michigan and the Grand Rapids Bar Association. He writes and lectures frequently in the United States and Canada on many environmental subjects, and has taught environmental law as an adjunct associate professor of law at the University of Notre Dame Law School. Smary has also been recognized as one of The Best Lawyers in America since 1991, and in the 2006 edition of The International Who's Who of Environment Lawyers and the 2005 edition of Euromoney's Guide to the World's Leading Environment Lawyers.
