The California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”) broadly applies to data collected about California residents, whether in their role as consumers, employees, or otherwise.  Failure to comply with its provisions can result in enforcement actions by the State of California and lawsuits by California residents, even without proof of actual damages.  In this presentation, we’ll cover the following:
  • Which businesses must comply with the CCPA
  • What kinds of information are covered
  • Steps a business must take to comply
  • Consequences for failing to comply
  • Changes that may be needed to your insurance program
