Strategic Track

Risk Management Track

General Track

In some organizations, HR is viewed as a tactical – not strategic – function. As a result, many important decisions are made without the input of HR professionals. This track will explore how HR professionals can become strategic decision makers within an organization.

The strategies to manage risk include avoidance, reducing the negative effect of the risk and accepting some or all of the consequences of a risk. This track identifies areas with the greatest potential for legal risk and approaches how to avoid those pitfalls and minimize the impact of missteps within your organization.

HR professionals must regularly manage a number of functions for their organizations to run effectively. Establishing practices and policies is a critical HR function. Accordingly, this track will help keep HR professionals informed about important developments and best practices.
