Webinar: Regulatory Compliance of Information Management

Dawn Garcia Ward, senior counsel with the law firm of Warner Norcross & Judd LLP, will present a webinar on regulatory compliance of information management on Tuesday, Aug. 4.
 
The webinar, which is presented by the Knowledge Group, will focus on the importance of data management practices and standards, ensuring compliance with legislative, regulatory and internal policies and steps to mitigate the trauma of data breach. The webinar will be applicable to all industries and organizations in which compliance with information management regulations is important. Topics will include:
  • Managing electronic data
  • Document retention and destruction policies
  • Changes in laws and regulations and recent enforcement
  • Potential legal risks and pitfalls
  • Information security
  • Compliance and costs
  • Strategies for data life cycle management

Ward is co-chair of the firm’s Data Solutions Practice Group. She concentrates her practice in business law and litigation with an emphasis on contracts, product liability, records management systems and related areas. She practices in the firm’s Holland office.

Registration fees range from $149 to 349. Discounts are available for registration before July 25.  
 
Continuing Education Credits
Webinar attendees may be eligible for 1.75 to 2 continuing legal education or continuing professional education hours.
