Quickly Gaining the Upper Hand in an Automotive Industry Crisis

In a time of increasing data/IP breaches, government investigations and automotive recalls, it’s no longer a question of if you’ll face a corporate crisis, but when. Keeping in mind that social media is quick, you won’t have much time to think about a strategy so having a plan in place is essential. Whether or not the crisis is a pressing legal matter, general counsel should be key players in a crisis-management plan. They must know how to gain control of the crisis, even when it’s on a global scale and includes subsidiaries. We’ll discuss proactive steps and other measures to maintain the upper hand and when to involve key team members.
