Interview with Chief Justice Kelly

A few months ago, we were gratified to learn that Chief Justice Kelly had added the OCJ blog to her list of ƒ''favoriteƒ' websites.' ' ' We inquired whether she might be willing to allow us to interview her, and she graciously agreed.' So on May 1 -- Law Day -- we sat down with Chief Justice Kelly for an hour, discussing various issues related to appellate practice, her background, and her goals as Chief Justice.' ' There were some surprises for appellate practitioners and litigants, including the fact that Chief Justice Kelly reads all of the applications for leave that are filed with the Court.' We intend to post portions of the transcript of the interview throughout the week.' We hope that you find the insights she shared as helpful as we do.' We'll post the entire transcript sometime' next week.
