The Michigan Supreme Court vacated the Court of Appeals' decision in Martin v. Ledingham, a medical malpractice case. The Court concluded that the conflict between the plaintiff's expert's opinion regarding the standard of care and the defendant treating physician's testimony created a genuine issue of material fact that precluded entry of summary disposition in favor of the defendants.

The Court denied leave to appeal in five cases.
