Warner Norcross & Judd LLP has cracked the top 200 on National Law Journal's annual list of the nation’s largest law firms. The firm has improved 25 places on the list in just the last two years.
With 215 attorneys, the NLJ rankings for 2008 place Warner at No. 199 on the list of America’s 250 largest law firms. This is the first time the firm, which has offices in Grand Rapids, Holland, Lansing, Muskegon, Southfield and Sterling Heights, has made the top 200.
While other law firms are shrinking, merging or disbanding, Warner continues to grow and prosper. Since 2006, the firm has added 40 attorneys and opened offices in Lansing and Sterling Heights. It also has added a number of specialized areas of practice, including groups focused on government affairs, climate change, corporate social responsibility, doing business in Japan, minority business development and economic development incentives.
Warner was ranked No. 224 on the NLJ list in 2006 and jumped to No. 214 in 2007. Based on the 2008 rankings, Warner is the sixth-largest firm in Michigan and the largest headquartered in West Michigan.
