Kathy Hanenburg specializes in business immigration, representing clients who hire non-U.S. workers for highly skilled and technical positions, as well as businesses needing to transfer executive and managerial personnel from abroad to the United States. She also counsels human resource professionals on immigration and I-9 compliance issues. Kathy is the Chair of the Firm's Immigration Law Practice Group.

Representative Experience

  • Advises automotive suppliers on numerous immigration issues in connection with the outsourcing of technical functions to Asia
  • Assists multinational companies in the coordination of immigration and tax advice for highly compensated foreign nationals
  • Serves as immigration counsel to national manufacturer of consumer products with $720 million revenue, 5,500 employees and 13 plants in North America
  • Counsels international manufacturing and distribution company (consumer products) with sales in excess of $5 billion, 10,000 employees and operations in 80 countries
  • Represented publicly traded company as special immigration counsel in the sale of a manufacturing company with 15 locations across the United States
  • Served as special counsel to resolve numerous immigration issues during a merger which resulted in an 8,000-employee entity
