Jim focuses his practice in business, corporate and real estate law, with an emphasis on commercial transactions, business formation and mergers and acquisitions. His practice has particular emphasis in representing the automotive, general manufacturing and distribution industries.

Representative Experience
- Established joint ventures and provided business formation services for new entities of domestic clients expanding globally
- Handled real estate transactions, including acquisitions, finance, development, leasing and zoning issues
- Handled dozens of mergers and acquisitions for privately held companies in various industries, including automotive, medical, insurance, specialty chemicals, general manufacturing and distribution
- Provided general corporate services to a wide range of middle-market, Tier II and closely-held automotive suppliers. Services included formation, contract drafting and review, employment and non-compete agreements, buy-sell agreements, stock options and other related issues
- Represented distributors and resellers in domestic and international matters, including licensing, franchising and anti-trust issues
- Represented numerous buyers and sellers in M&A activity in the United States and Canada
- Represented subsidiaries of U.K. companies seeking to establish operations in the United States
- Worked extensively with Tier I and Tier II automotive suppliers setting up foreign operations
