Albert Vincent Y. Yu Chang, an attorney with Warner Norcross & Judd LLP, has been elected to the board of directors of the Chinese Association of West Michigan.
Yu Chang, who concentrates his practice in business and international law, will serve a three-year term on the CAWM board. Founded in 1991, CAWM is a non-profit cultural organization serving more than 600 members throughout the region. The organization works to advance cross-cultural understanding between China and the United states and between the Chinese community and the other ethnic groups while promoting the rich Chinese cultural heritage and traditions in the region.
Active professionally and in the community, Yu Chang is a vice chair of the Asia-Pacific Committee of the American Bar Association Section of International Law. He is also a member of the State Bar of Michigan and the Integrated Bar of the Philippines.
He serves as manager of business development in West Michigan for the Detroit Chinese Business Association and is a member of the Asian Professionals Organization in West Michigan. Yu Chang has been recognized by The Grand Rapids Business Journal as one of the region's up-and-coming business leaders in its annual 40 Under 40 awards.
