Albert Vincent Y. Yu Chang is a member of the Firm's Business and International Business practice groups.  Albert's business practice benefits significantly from his prior corporate law and business litigation experience involving multinational and Asian companies in the Philippines, his keen understanding of the Eastern and Western business cultures and his foreign language capabilities.

Representative Experience

  • Represents Chinese automotive supplier in all aspects of its U.S. operations
  • Advises clients with respect to the formation of domestic, and with foreign counsel involvement, foreign entities
  • Acted as co-counsel in various acquisitions and transactions involving U.S., China, Japan and Singapore entities
  • Drafted distribution agreements and terms and conditions of sale for various clients
  • Assisted a U.S. company in drafting a call center services agreement with a Philippine service provider
  • Advised a data entry company in relation to setting up operations in the Philippines
  • Represented Filipino-Chinese enterprises regarding corporate, commercial and intellectual property law issues
  • Advised a German company regarding its cause of action against a title insurer in the U.S.
  • Acted as co-counsel in instituting expropriation proceedings in behalf of a Philippine utility company in relation to a 440 MW coal-fired power plant built and operated by a consortium of U.S. energy companies
  • Drafted equipment lease contracts for a telecommunications company
  • Acted as co-counsel for various multinational companies in contract and labor disputes before courts and administrative agencies in the Philippines
  • Acted as corporate secretary for Asian manufacturing companies, Philippine affiliates of a U.S. Venture capitalist and a leading Philippine university
