Warner Norcross Attorney Meggan E. Dyer Selected for New Inforum Leadership Program

1/19/2012

Meggan E. Dyer, an attorney with the law firm Warner Norcross & Judd LLP, has been selected to participate in the inaugural West Michigan flight of a new Inforum leadership program.

Dyer, who practices business and tax law, is one of 30 women leaders participating in NextUp, an eight-week course designed for high-achieving women early in their careers.  The program, which is one of several specialized leadership development courses offered by the Inforum Center of Leadership, is designed to jumpstart a woman’s early career years and expedite learning to overcome traditional roadblocks to achieve success in a new assignment or job.

Participants work in teams and with individual career coaches to identify values, goals and strengths; sharpen listening and feedback skills; improve social interaction in the workplace; and avoid “career derailers.”  The interactive sessions will also include practice-based homework that supports class learning.

Inforum is a professional women’s alliance designed to strengthen the business environment in Michigan by creating opportunities where women can lead and succeed.  Several Warner Norcross partners were among the women who founded the West Michigan affiliate in 2005.

Dyer is a member of the State Bar of Michigan.  She serves on the board of the American Red Cross for Muskegon, Oceana and Newaygo counties.
