Warner Mourns Paul Gaston, Former Managing Partner

12/5/2012

Warner Norcross & Judd is saddened to share the passing of our friend and colleague Paul K. Gaston.  Paul joined Warner Norcross as an associate on July 1, 1959, and became a partner in 1965.  He continued in an of counsel position from December 31, 1993, until his death on December 1, 2012.  Paul made many lasting contributions during his tenure here, both as an outstanding business lawyer and as managing partner, a position he held for four years.  He was the author of our lock-step compensation system, which is still in use today.  Paul’s personality and character lives on in our collegial culture, which discourages internal competition and focuses on client service.  Paul’s wife, Jean, also was devoted to the success of the firm.  Our thoughts and prayers are with her, their daughter, Carolyn, and son, Hal.  Paul was a role model for many of us and will be missed.
