Paul R. Jackson to Chair Symphony Board in Muskegon

Paul R. Jackson, a partner with Warner Norcross & Judd LLP, has been appointed chairman of the West Shore Symphony Orchestra Board of Directors in Muskegon.

Jackson will serve a one-year term as chair of the Symphony Board.  Now entering its 66th season, the West Shore Symphony presents eight pairs of subscription concerts annually, as well as a series of special events, educational programs and other concerts.

Jackson, who concentrates his practice on taxation and business law, is active both professionally and within the community.  He serves on the Tax Council for the State Bar of Michigan's Taxation Section and as chair of the Tax Practice Group of Warner Norcross.  He is a member of the State Bars of Michigan and Pennsylvania and the American Bar Association, where he also serves as a member of the Taxation Section.  He is a past officer of the Muskegon County Bar Association.

Jackson has served as a director for the Muskegon County United Way, the Muskegon Economic Forum, the Muskegon Country Club and Muskegon Civic Theatre.  He is also a member of the Muskegon Rotary Club.

Jackson, a native of Pittsburgh, holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, a doctor of jurisprudence from the University of Pittsburgh and a master of laws in taxation from the University of Florida School of Law.
