Louis C. Rabaut, a partner with Warner Norcross & Judd LLP, has been appointed to serve on the editorial board of the Americans with Disabilities Act Compliance Guide.
The board alerts editors to trends within the field and provides editorial and content guidance and editorial staff feedback to the publication. ADA Compliance Guide is published by the Thompson Publishing Group, which provides a wide variety of timely and authoritative updates in a number of areas to professionals in business, government, law and academia.
Rabaut concentrates his practice in employment law, particularly collective bargaining issues, occupational safety, employee misconduct and discrimination and other related issues. He joined the Firm in 1982 and works in the Grand Rapids office.
Prior to joining Warner Norcross, Rabaut served as a senior tax analyst with General Motors Corp. and as a bank officer with the National Bank of Detroit.
Active both professionally and within the community, Rabaut is a frequent speaker on a wide range of employment law issues. He has also authored several articles on employment issues and has taught college classes on occupational safety and health issues. He is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and listed in The Best Lawyers in America.
Rabaut currently serves as president of the Grand Rapids Griffins Youth Foundation. He is a past chair of the Grand Rapids Parks & Recreation Advisory Board, past president of the Grand Rapids Amateur Hockey Association and a past advisory board member of the Franciscan Life Process Center.
A native of Detroit, Rabaut holds a bachelor's degree from the Detroit Institute of Technology, summa cum laude, and a doctor of jurisprudence, magna cum laude, from the University of Detroit Law School, where he was a member of the University of Detroit Law Review.
