Heidi A. Lyon Joins Warner Norcross

Heidi A. Lyon has joined Warner Norcross & Judd LLP as an associate.

Lyon concentrates her practice in employee benefits issues, including health and welfare benefit plans, executive compensation, pension, profit-sharing and deferred compensation plans, employee stock ownership and stock bonus plans, and fringe benefits plans. She will be based in the Firm's Grand Rapids office.

Prior to joining Warner Norcross, Lyon was an associate with Mika Meyers Beckett and Jones PLC in Grand Rapids. She has also clerked for a Washington, D.C. law firm and the Plan Benefits Security Division of the Department of Labor.

Active professionally and in the community, Lyon is a member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Michigan, Grand Rapids Bar Association and the IRS Great Lakes Tax-Exempt and Governmental Entities Council. She serves on the board of the Western Region of the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan and as vice president of the Arts Council of Greater Grand Rapids. She is also a member of the Economic Club of Grand Rapids

Lyon holds a bachelor of arts degree with distinction from the University of Michigan. She holds a doctor of jurisprudence from George Washington University Law School in Washington D.C., where she was notes editor for The Environmental Lawyer.

A native of Okemos, Mich., Lyon now lives in Grand Rapids with her husband, Branden.
