5/5/2014

The law firm of Warner Norcross & Judd LLP today welcomed Beth L. O’Laughlin as a new attorney in the firm’s Midland office.

O’Laughlin concentrates her practice in estate planning and business law. She prepares estate plans that require integration of real property, business interests and retirement assets and assists small and family-owned businesses in efficient succession planning.

“Beth’s legal skills and expertise make her an excellent fit with our growing Midland office,” said Jeffrey A. Ott, executive partner.  “As a member of one of the largest estate planning practices in Michigan, Beth offers those living in the Great Lakes Bay Region exceptional legal advice and resources to handle the most difficult estate planning and business succession issues.

“We are extremely pleased to have Beth join our legal team in Midland.”

Prior to joining Warner Norcross, O’Laughlin was an associate attorney with the former Currie Kendall PLC in Midland. She has also served as judicial law clerk to the former Chief Judge Jonathan E. Lauderbach at the Midland County Circuit Court, who is now a partner with Warner Norcross.

O’Laughlin received her bachelor’s degree summa cum laude from Central Michigan University and her law degree summa cum laude from University of Toledo College of Law, where she was Order of the Coif.

O’Laughlin is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, the State Bar of Ohio, the Midland County Bar Association, the Northeastern Michigan Estate Planning Council and the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan.

Active in her community as well as in her profession, she is secretary and a steering committee member for the Midland Young Professionals organization, on the board of Personal Assistance Options and a member of the 100 Young Professionals Giving Circle and Young Leaders United. She volunteers with Ask the Lawyer, Big Brothers Big Sisters and Habitat for Humanity. She is a 2012 Leadership Midland graduate and active in the Leadership Midland Alumni Association.
