Our Southfield office opened in January of 1997 to serve our existing clients with operations in Metro Detroit and to expand our law practice into a growing international market. As the Southeast Michigan economy continues to expand and diversify, the Southfield office is uniquely positioned to help our clients succeed in all facets of their businesses. The office is staffed by more than 25 attorneys with broad experience in corporate transactions, tax, trusts and estates, economic incentives, employee benefits, environmental, international, real estate, securities and litigation. The office is closely aligned with our other five offices in Michigan, allowing us to take advantage of the intellectual capital of the entire firm. We are actively seeking associates and summer associates to practice in our Southfield office.

The city of Southfield is Michigan's premier business address and its undisputed business center. Because of Southfield’s centralized location in the metro area, our offices are easily accessible to clients in Oakland County, Wayne County, and beyond. Southfield is one of Metro Detroit's most desirable residential communities, with a nationally recognized school system, 10 colleges and universities, and more than 700 acres of parkland.

Metro Detroit is full of opportunity, too. There is renewed optimism and economic activity in downtown Detroit, while growth and development continue to be strong in the surrounding suburbs. The area offers a wealth of sporting and recreational activities, including the Lions, Red Wings, Tigers and Pistons professional sports teams. Detroit's diverse musical heritage is on display at several internationally renowned festivals, including the Detroit International Jazz Festival and the Detroit Electronic Music Festival. The world-class Detroit Institute of Arts and Detroit Symphony Orchestra, and the beautifully restored Michigan Opera Theater are leading the cultural rebirth of the city. Detroit boasts the second largest theater district in the country, with over 13,000 theater seats in just a two block radius downtown. The city also boasts a variety of museums, a zoo, three casinos, and countless restaurants, providing the advantages of a major metropolitan area while still in reasonable proximity to affordable and desirable housing in a variety of communities.
